12 things I've learned while building products for the web by Pierre Valade

Pierre Valade of Foursquare talked to the Campers about the difference between designing on the web: game design and product design. Pierre shares the lessons he has learned about start-ups that he wishes he knew before starting his companies. "One right thing is more interesting than a lot of wrong things" he says; so make sure to have a great user experience! He talks about "building your own vision" rather than taking inspiration from bad competitors and about not being worried about breaking your own product; if you break it then just start again.

Pierre is a UX designer at Foursquare. He is passionate about APIs, and web tendencies in general. Previous to Foursquare, Pierre has had several entrepreneurial experiences at Agora and AlittleWink.
